As an artist I perceive the world in all its variety and contradictions: its beauty, its struggles. My art is my medium for expressing my perceptions and reactions. In “Someday Soon,” a work in acrylic and collage, I have expressed my solidarity with women who struggle for freedom and equality. My love of music is embodied in “Ballroom,” one of several abstract pieces with a delicate rhythm and swirling colors.

I see the landscape of the world as abstract in shadow, form, line, and color. Images of what is not there are as important as what is. It is the mystery, the surprise, the unexpected discovery in my paintings that challenges the viewer to search for the elements that complete the “story“ in each work.
